Just for Fiona

These are initially for Fiona but they serve to remind us all that thankfully Spring is just around the corner albeit a miserable chilly one.

I couldn't believe my eyes when we returned to the car and spotted this vinca (periwinkle) bravely flowering away too

Oh those Snowdrops are beautiful!
I miss the wonderful daffodils & other wonderful bulbs that flower wildly in the Botanic gardens in Christchurch New Zealand. I have no luck with my bulbs here in Oz- too hot for them really.
Thanks for posting these, I enjoyed them too.

thanks for the pics! It will be awhile before we see anything green around here. Still buried in icy snow though it did get to a balmy 40 degrees Farenheit today.

I'll be snuggling under a quilt for a while longer but the photos are beautiful..

I love vinca - it pretty much grows year round here. Those little purple flowers just make me smile.

Hi Anne, the flower pictures are sooo beutiful. Hard to belive it's time for the snowdrops already. I don't have much access to wooded areas, but I think they are one of the early bloomers here in the states also.
In local gardens should be the crocus soon..*VBS* Spring is on the way...Hugs, Finn

Incredible pictures. How lucky you are to have such a wonderful place to walk so close to your home.
