The craft fair won!

Interesting comments from you all on my last post - as he knew I needed help it didn't even occur to me that he should go to the rugby - he'd obviously be a lot better off living with some of my fellow bloggers :o))

The bigger sickener is that I could've gone with him to use the other ticket - which, as I've never actually been to Twickenham, meant my loss was actually greater than his

Then sadly the fact that the craft sale was poorly attended and didn't net me anything as much as I'd have liked in my pocket meant we both rather wished we'd gone down the sports route

Never mind hindsight is always 20/20 vision

The day wasn't without gain - the lady on the next stall to mine told me of another sale at the end of November which could prove far more lucrative

So we'll see if I can book a table tomorrow - all my midnight stitching won't have been in vain.

If that doesn't come off I may well just explore the possibilities of Etsy...............
anyone for a Bebbington Original? :o)

Looks like you had some great stuff! It is frustrating when you just don't get enough traffic past your table though!

Craft fairs are very popular in our area, but I've never participated. A friend of mine who makes inexpensive jewelry does very well. I guess I just think quilts wouldn't be an impulse purchase . . .

I think your table is wonderful. I'd love to looks through all your stuff at a craft fair! Maybe next time you'll have more people stop by and BUY!

Sorry there wasn't as much traffic as you deserved. Your stall looked beautiful. I'm sure I wouldn't have come away empty handed!!
A more commercial stall may be better because what you need is people!

Sorry about the ruggers too, but hindsight is a wonderful thing and if we all had it, there would be no Lotteries!

Sorry to hear that you didn't have good sales...crafts fairs can be very hit and miss...I think people like to look, but they aren't so keen to buy. I would definitely try the etsy avenue...seems to work for a lot of people and your fellow bloggers are your biggest fans! :o)

Such pretty things for sale. I participated in one once and I didn't sell a single thing. It kind of took the wind out of my sails.

Ah, yes, Anne, but if you'd gone to the Rugby, you'd have been soaked since it poured down the rain in that neck of the woods. You would probably have come down with dreadful colds. Look on the bright side!

What a bugger! On all fronts! Hope the next fair works out better for you Anne. Either that, or you've got swaps covered for the next decade at least!

Looks like you have some very nice things . . . I bet a show a little closer to the holidays and better attended will be just what you need for HUGE sales *s*

I hope you have better luck with your next sale! It frustrating to put so much of your time and heart and not be as successful as you want to be, and miss the game too!

That was disappointing Anne, as your display looks so bright and inviting. Putting all the articles together make them all look really yummy. I wsih you better luck and more buying customers next time.
