When I read back over my last post and looked at the black hand dyed piece I started to feel 'Whatever was I thinking?'
I'm glad I did I have an underlying sneaky feeling that 'Joseph' might just become a sort of swan (albeit probably an australian black one) rather than the extinct dodo he looked before the applique was added.

Anne I would strongly suggest you delete Mr. Kalar's comment!
As for the little quilts...Great work Anne..they all look so different and I'm amazed that you can make more than one of these precious quilts...I get bored too fast to make more than one.
What a transformation! Looks great!
I wasn't too sure either about the little black quilt, but with those bright hearts its gorgeous!!
Definitely a swan; trust your instincts!
They are beautiful! I like the green! You are FAST!
They all look stunning Anne. You know I was only teasing when I mentioned that you had missed a colour. LOL
I think the hearts really did transform that last one.
PS the addition of that nasty word verification thing seems to have cured my spammer.
All your heart quilts are beautiful, but I especially like bright Joseph's one. These pieces certainly do give you the motivation to try something new.
Anne, I LOVE this new one! My husband is a dead head and if I let him, he would decorate the whole house in tie die. Luckily he keeps it in the office. This would be so perfect for him, or a spunky teenager. I love how you are going for such variety. Can't wait to see more :) Love Stacy
Beautiful work, perfect for different people, regards from Spain
Anne it's wonderful! What a contrast to the other ones. You're right, Aussie black swans would be proud to call that coat their own!
SO glad Karen loved hers - of course she would - but to redecorate her bedroom to match!
Oh oh oh. It's gorgeous. Truly a swan!
it is amazing how different things look with different fabric colour choices...........very nice.......
Although I've oohed and ahhed over all of your heart quilts and thought you couldn't possibly do any better than the last, I have to admit, I like Joseph, the ugly duckling the best! Just beautiful! Are you doing all the applique by hand? That's probably a dumb question because as I recall that's your specialty, but my goodness you do turn out those hearts quickly!
