Spring has sprung in Quiltland if not in Taunton

Well we've been luckier than lots of the UK today - our snow flurries haven't settled.

However the change from Thursday's beautiful tee-shirt weather is certainly very marked - brrrrrrr!!!!!!!
This is our two youngest with one of the neighbours sons wrapped up well playing crazy golf at Minehead in almost sub-zero temperatures yesterday afternoon

Yesterday morning the postman delivered a parcel from the US.

Alicia has very kindly sent me my beautiful Spring Four Seasons Quilt

Aren't the colours absolutely fabulous

In the same parcel was the next version of the Spring Fling Round Robin - this one needs me to add the third round to it - I didn't manage to get a snap of it before writing this post, I'll show you before and after pictures once I've added the Bebbington touch to it

So with a spring quilt received I thought, as my embroidered top had been sitting in the UFO box for several weeks now, that I really ought to get off my butt and complete it

A busy Sunday afternoon later.....

and here we are, all ready to send to it's recipient on the other side of the pond - I'm not telling you who though, it's a secret!

It'll be in the post in a day or two

Anne, that quilt from Alicia is great. It really does look like spring and the design is so precise and lovely. Yours looks great too, more like the time in spring when everything is blooming, preparing for the heat and long summer. I can't believe you got snow lol. This is one crazy world. Love Stacy

Glad the package made it to you and glad you like your little quilt. I love what you did with the Spring Fling quilt. I am anxious to get my next round.

Anne, in our little corner of paradise in the upper midwest, it went from about 15 degrees and sun 4 days ago to about3-4 degrees celsius and very raw in Minnesota. In March and April the weather can just about drive you to drink. My wife and I got married on April 29th 24 years ago-and got six inches of snow that day.

BTW you have a fine looking family.

Hello Anne!
No secret to keep now! ~ I received this beauty in the mail. It's here, safe and soundly at home in my quilting room! Thank you so much for this beautifully hand embroidered quilt. You do have a talent for piecing and embroidery. Perfect points and teeny tiny stitches make this a precious and lovely treasure. Other than robins, this is the first real hopeful sign of spring to arrive at my door so far this year, lol, you brightened my days. Was so nice to come home from quilt camp to find this in my mail box. Again, thank you!
